White oak solid hardwood flooring is milled from white oak, a ring-porous species with prominent grain and, on quartersawn boards, distinctive ray fleck. White oak contains tyloses that can slow moisture movement compared with red oak, though it remains a wood floor that responds to humidity. Andiwilson supports projects by reviewing grade, cut, board width, moisture content, fixing method and finish before order. Illustrative specifications use 18–20 mm boards, 90–180 mm wide. Installation may be nail-down, secret-nail over battens or glue-down, with a vapour barrier where required. Acclimatisation and moisture checks are agreed before fitting. Finish options include hardwax oil, lacquer and soap, each with different maintenance routines. A dry-lay sample helps assess grain, ray fleck and shade variation. Andiwilson provides care notes covering dry mopping, neutral cleaner and furniture pads. Performance depends on grade, site humidity and maintenance, so project teams should confirm current technical documents and installation guidance before ordering.
