A compact laminate panel is a solid-core decorative board made by pressing resin-impregnated layers under heat and pressure. Because the core runs through the full thickness, cut edges can be routed, chamfered and polished without separate edge banding. Andiwilson supports specifiers and fabricators by reviewing thickness, face texture, core colour, sheet format and edge treatment before order. Thickness selection is usually the first decision: 6–8 mm suits wall linings, fascias and light partitions; 10–12 mm suits cubicle doors, vanity tops and shelf components; 13 mm suits worktops and heavy-use counters. Standard formats include 2440 × 1220 mm and 3050 × 1300 mm, with protective film and batch labels available. Cutting can be done on a panel saw or CNC router, followed by drilling and edge polishing. A trial cut helps check chip behaviour before full runs, and offcuts can be returned to stock for smaller parts. Sheets should be stored flat and dry. Project teams should confirm current technical documents, sheet availability and machining recommendations before ordering.
